Can’t get email addresses or data for your shoot? OPS Client Registration allows clients to register before being photographed. This helps gather client data, email addresses, and subject information directly into your OPS project available to you as a .CSV file download. You will also be able to create QR Codes from the data for your shoot, or Bar Codes if you’re an Opticon user.
1. Create a Client Registration Project
- Log in to your OPS Admin page.
- Click Add a Project.
- Complete the project setup details.
- For proof-style orders, select Batch Mode.
- Click Save.
2. Open the Registration Links
- After saving the project, go to the project’s Options page.
Click the Links
- Scroll to the bottom of the Links page.
- Click Print a Registration QR Code Sign.
3. Use the Registration QR Code or Shortcut Link
The QR Code Registration page provides a shortcut link that can be copied and emailed to clients. The page also includes an editable registration flyer that can be printed and displayed at the shoot.
Each project automatically generates its own registration QR code.
4. Save the QR Code for Flyers or Envelopes
- Right-click the project QR code.
- Select Save image as....
- Save the QR code to your computer.
- Add it to studio flyers, envelopes, or other printed materials.
5. Client Registration Process
When clients scan the QR code or open the registration shortcut URL, the registration page will open on their device.
Clients can enter their information and submit it directly to the project.
The registration page works on mobile devices, tablets, and computers.
6. View Registered Clients
All pre-registrations will appear on the project’s Subjects page.
- Open the OPS project.
- Click Subjects.
- Review the list of registered subjects.
7. Create QR Codes or Barcodes from Registrations
After registration has ended, you can convert the registered subject names into QR codes or Opticon barcodes for your shoot.
- Go to the project’s Subjects page.
- Click the Subject Actions dropdown.
- Select QR Codes / Barcodes.
- Choose the QR code or barcode style you want to print.
8. Registration PrePay Option
You can also add a PrePay option to your registrations.
- Click Add a PrePay Project instead of Add a Project.
- Create the PrePay project for the shoot.
- Go to the Links screen.
- Access the registration links.
After clients complete the registration form, their confirmation page can include a Pre-Pay for Photos button that takes them to the project’s PrePay screen.
